CrossFit is one of the top programs for improving your all around fitness. You will gain capacity in the measureable areas of fitness- strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, power, coordination, agility, balance, stamina and accuracy.

Our specialty is not specializing. On any given day your workout could include weight lifting, gymnastics, metabolic conditioning (our version of cardio, but nothing like the stairmaster, treadmill or jog you are use to). It might include all three. Our classes are an hour or less including warm-up and the W.O.D. (workout of the day).

We like basic tools: barbells & bumper plates, sidewalks for running, Concept 2 rowers, kettlebells, jump ropes, Ab-mats, pull-up bars, medicine balls, tractor tires, Glute-Ham Developers (GHD’s) and our own body weight just to name a few.

There are two more important factors to our success, nutrition and rest/sleep.

The old saying is “You can’t out train a bad diet”. The American Heritage Dictionary defines diet as; (n.) 1. One’s usual food or drink. Notice this has nothing to do with the amount you eat. We recommend the Paleo Diet to all of our clients who would like to lose some unwanted pounds or need to improve their blood lipid profiles and/or blood pressure. The Paleo Diet is based roughly on eating the way our hunter gather ancestors ate. The idea is our bodies are still genetically identical to these hunter gathers’ bodies. Our genetics are designed to produce healthy humans on this diet. Most of our members find eating this way more of a lifestyle then a “diet”.

Ever had trainer or coach talk to you about the quality and amount of sleep you’re getting? Do you know it can be critical to fitness, weight loss and maintenance to be getting proper rest each night? We do and we work with our members to evaluate this aspect of their fitness.

CrossFit is smart evidenced based workout combined with good nutrition and proper rest to produce amazing results. Only to us the results are not so amazing, we see them day in and day out from our members who show up, don’t quit and give their best effort.
